Wilson's Phalarope
Fun fact about the little Wilson's Phalarope. Unlike most bird species, the female Wilson's Phalarope is the prettier bird and the male incubates the eggs! Hmmm, I used to think that I wanted to be an Eagle if I was a bird...I might have to re-think that! These images were taken 6/12/13 in a rice field near Colusa. I have nest images as well but it was in a very un-photogenic spot so will only post on my website.
